Nice entry, the looks and music gave me strong C64 vibes.

I kept playing after I got out of the house only to find out in the comments that the game was over :P but it was fun

Developer

Thanks for playing!

glad you liked the look and feel.

yeah, I really should have made a "you're out" or something sorry about that

glad you figured it out

Neat game, I liked the idea, music and overall mood. Got stuck a couple of times though - the first time I put the pumpkins on the fireplace first and then tried to carve them but the knife wouldn't budge after I had carved one pumpkin. I restarted the game and this time managed to light all the jack o' lanterns and then went back to speak to the spirit but nothing happened, maybe I missed something?

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I have also discovered the knife glitch, I have a fix for it but uploads are restricted at the moment.

The jack-o-lanterns are a big part of the “puzzle”. The tip I’ll give you is what else can the matches be used for?

Ah, totally missed that, thanks! Nice game!

As for the bug, I think Vance would let you fix it if you asked him, since this would be considered game-breaking.

Developer

I've thought about it but seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

The "game" is really more of a demo at this point.

good game, i really enjoyed it

Developer

Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.

cute game, although I don't know how it ends. I did everything I think but I could find nothing to do after I got rid of the spirit.

Hey, Thanks for playing! When you expelled the spirit you should be able to exit the house which is the escape aspect of the game.  Glad you made it out!

ok thanx, I figured that was the end but I wasn't 100% sure. :)
