Hi, thanks for playing! :)

The part where you need to enter something else comes later. After entering the witness statements, the next puzzle is figuring out which hammock belongs to whom. To view the hammocks deduction section in the diary, you have to first view the items in the hammock containing the cream and robe (without this, you would have no reason to make deductions about the hammocks).

Oh that’s awesome! Excited to play it whenever it’s ready! :)

I haven’t but I’d love to! Where can I check it out?

Oh you totally should! Maybe Magenta could do a space heist! :)

Thanks! Really happy you liked it! :)

Thank you so much! :D

Hey! It’s going well! I’ve been busy working on a case for the game. Just posted another devlog on how I wrote a heist case. Thanks for asking! :)

Awesome, thanks for playing! :)

Hi, you have to put in what they actually saw and not what they think they saw…

Spoiler i.e. Noah Devlin and Nathan Glass saw each other at the head last night

Hi! I remembered that someone had streamed the game a while back (thanks Cryptic Hybrid! :D).

You can use the video as a reference for the doctor puzzle, if you like, but the game has been updated since the video was made so a lot of later puzzles will be different! :)

Yeah, each time you answer a puzzle correctly, you get a confirmation.

As far as I can remember, the Captain didn’t see anything so he isn’t one of the 11 witnesses.

(1 edit)

Pay close attention to how each shape moves. I’ve given the answers below if you want to confirm your answer.

Squares Squares move clockwise along the border
Circles Circles move diagonally and bounce off walls
Triangles Triangles move down two boxes and wrap around to the first column
Order of precedence Some shapes get priority over others. You can see that when both a square and a circle are about to occupy the same position, the square gets preference and the circle moves on to its next position. Order of precedence in occupying a box - square > circle > triangle, so fill squares first, circles second and triangles last

Okay, no problem! If you need more help you can ask here then. :)

(1 edit)

Yep, you have to solve the puzzle first! (It’s Salvia Rosemarinus.)

(1 edit)

Yeah that is a little tricky.

Part 1 In part 1, you need to place all the alphabets such that the gaps between them match the blocks in the clue sets. All placements can be logically deduced. For example, B and I must be in the 4th and 5th column next to each other and must have at least 3 rows above. Since X/Y is already in the last row, B and I must go in the 4th row.
Part 2 In part 2, you have to pay close attention to how each shape moves and interacts with each other. For example, the squares move clockwise along the border. You'll also need to figure out which shape gets priority when multiple shapes are trying to occupy the same box.
Part 3 You'll need to use both Part 1 and Part 2 for this.

First part of Part 2 shows that the order of precedence when finding the coordinates for the letters is triangle > circle > square. Also see how Doctor Trout got the first two letters.

If you still need help with the solution, you can download CrypticSolutionImagesV2.4 from the downloads section above. :)

Spoiler The rosemary is in the doctor's office on the shelf and the sage is under a hammock on the other side of the mess.

You can get it in the downloads section above. :)

Hi! Which puzzle would you like help with?

Haha can’t argue with that! :D

Hi! I might be able to release the demo in browser but I’m afraid the full game will have to be download only.

:D

Thanks for playing!

Hint about this puzzle I'm not sure if you've figured this out already but you will always get an error if you enter four numbers in a row. The lock registers the "wrong password" sound made on the phone when the fourth number is entered and gives an error.
Passcode The passcode is 12365479.

Ah, got it! Thanks for clarifying!

Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoy my games! :D

I’m actually working on a longer game right now! It’s going to be a detective adventure game but it’s in the early stages and I’m still figuring out the mechanics. Thanks for asking!

Hi, thanks for playing! To combine objects in the inventory, you have to drag them over each other and to use an object, you have to right click on it (right click again to discard). I tested it with my touchpad and it seems to be working fine so that’s probably not the issue.

(1 edit)

Thanks for trying the game, I appreciate it! :)

I’m not sure if I understood the issue. Without a left click, you wouldn’t be able to play the game at all because it’s needed for everything, not just combining items.

Is it that your laptop doesn’t have a physical button for left click so it’s hard to drag? Because this game doesn’t need you to drag items to combine, you just click the first item and then the second item in the inventory. If those items can be combined, you will see a change otherwise nothing will happen.

Hi, thanks so much for playing! I’m glad you’re enjoying it! :)

Spoiler You're right, the answer is that Noah Devlin and Nathan Glass saw each other at the head last night. Are you sure all the fields are entered in correctly? If they are and it's showing it as incorrect then there might be some bug I haven't come across yet. Can you try re-entering to see if that works?

Thanks! :)

Here’s a hint - He’s only allowed to leave his post for bathroom breaks. So is there something you can give him to make him leave?

Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it! :D

I can’t believe I missed that solution, haha! Thanks for letting me know, I’ll fix it in an update soon.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the game and especially the hard puzzles! :D

I wouldn’t want to embarrass her by revealing her secret but let’s just say that eating 16 cans of peaches and hiking are not the best combo.

Excellent game! There’s a surprising amount of depth in the puzzles and story for a jam game. I really enjoyed taking my time to get all the photos the right away even though the three photo verification system did tempt me to try and brute force some of the last ones.

Just an idea but maybe after a point you can increase the number of correct photos required to get a verification, so that players stick to finding clues instead of brute forcing. The last photos were some of the most rewarding puzzles of the game.

Very well done! I’d definitely play a bigger version of the game.

You pretty much solved it!

Big Spoiler! The first time the guy on the right talks to you, he asks you to give unmar oranges in exchange for finmar apples. So if you count the total number of oranges that you gave him, you'll get unmar = 8. And then unpol = 0 by elimination.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing and the kind words! It really made my day! :)

Oh I think I understand exactly how you’re getting the above numbers and I think a lot of other players may be having the same problem too.

Almondish is kind of a bare-bones language and you may run into trouble if you try to add proper English grammar to your translation.

Every word has exactly one meaning so when translating, you should use exactly the same interpretation everywhere.

BIG SPOILER If you think pak means "gave" then every instance of the word pak must mean "gave" (and not any other form of the word). Try finding a word for pak that fits all 3 instances well.

Hope this helps!

The game saves your progress so you don’t need to worry about that.

spoiler You can actually figure out unpol's meaning by elimination. Are you sure you got all the other numbers?

Wow, I’m so happy you’re enjoying these games! Thank you so much for playing them all!

There is a way to get all the numbers but you’ll need to understand Almondish first. Every word they say has a meaning, and you can deduce it by their reactions to different objects that you give them. Also pay attention to any overlap in words being said by different people.

hint 1 The left-most guy is trying to introduce himself and say hi. You can figure out what the words Min and Du mean. This guy doesn't want anything from you.
hint 2 The middle guy is asking you for something and he refuses to accept anything else. You can figure out what all the items in your inventory are called in Almondish and the meaning of the word Pak, Hunna and Po.
hint 3 The right-most guy wants to trade. You might deduce numbers from here.

Thanks, I’m really glad you enjoyed it! :D

It may be a little shorter than the first one, yeah, but like you said it depends on whether you get stuck anywhere or not.

Great, I hope you enjoy them! :D

The pillar resets if you jump back down. I don’t remember answering a question at the top but I guess I must have answered correctly. I don’t remember if it was the same one as before, the text goes too quickly but I think it was different because they said you should use what you’ve learned? I don’t know, I could be wrong. After the conversation, I was transported outside/back at home.

The radio was on the third floor of a building but I don’t think it’s important.

After I came out I climbed up the building next door to our home and got an object on the roof. Then I went back to the home building and entered the apartment with all the file cabinets. Then I got a message in the diary that I should go home. Did that. Went to the school the next day. There were all these numbered doors but I couldn’t enter any of them so I gave up.

I think I’ve played it 5-6 times now so I think I’m done. Like you said, the black magic temptation story is definitely interesting and that’s what kept me going but now I’ll wait till the end of the jam to see if some of the issues are fixed in an update.
