Team Name
Don't Shout At Me

Gameplay Instructions
Stuck in a Zero-G space cargo elevator, race to the Drop Pods by utilizing 6 degrees of freedom movement, your trusty grappling hook, and your powerful Gravity Orb ability with speed and precision to avoid the floating CARGO in your way and reach the Drop Pods as quickly as possible - your only chance of escape down to earth.

Watching the linked gameplay footage before playing should onboard you to the mechanics.

Controls:
WASD - forward, backwards, left, right
Control and Spacebar for upwards and downwards movement
Mouse - look and orient yourself around space, hold MMB to roll around instead of turning
Q and E - also manually roll you around in space
Left Mouse Button - Gravity Orb
Right Click - Grappling Hook

A and D - menu navigation
Enter - select menu options
Tab - options menu

If the Oculus server is on, Oculus HMD module crashes the game if that is the case for you, start the game with -nohmd option.

The game was designed and built initially as a multiplayer experience, however, towards the end of the jam, we saw that the experience for others(not the host) was janky due to the amount of replicated physics objects.
Thus we decided to focus on the single-player time-attack gameplay.

Multiplayer is still in the build and if you want to give it a try, it uses steam so make sure that is running. The doors at the start won't automatically open in this mode, so when all the players have connected, move back a bit and go around in order to start the match. The timer also does not work in multiplayer.

We hope this explains the slight discord in the single-player gameplay, as the gravity orb was meant for multiplayer with its ability to pull both players and objects.

What platform is your game built for?

Windows

List any content that was created before the jam that was included in the final submission.
LT Belica and Gideon Paragon Character Packs used for skeletal meshes and animations, and the Jetpack Animation Set for floating feet animations and player thruster sounds.
All other sounds are from Soundly.
Earth and Moon's textures were actual images downloaded from NASA.

Damn .. this is so good  it doesnt feel like a gamejam submission.

Love the graphics ( nice texturing, modeling ), the atmopshere ( seing earth in the background really helps with the story) and the gameplay feels really good ! Gravity orb effect looks amazing !

I managed to get out of the tube you may need to fix that. The ambiant sound is a bit too loud.

Other than that, your game is perfect and i can really see your team win this gamejam!

This is a super pretty game, and I love the atmosphere. I never really find any gameplay, and I would liked a bit more a story.

The gameplay is a time attack type of thing, and you gotta reach the drop pods near the end of the cylinder as fast as possible. But I understand how you cant `find` the gameplay as there is no on-boarding and that is on us. Hopefully we can fix that with a few upcoming updates but for now, thanks for playing :)
