I am not really sure if I can rate this game, despite the download being labeled for windows, mac, and linux, the included file is a windows binary, and while I can run it in wine it does not seem to display correctly, which is not a issue on your end and more so on mine as a linux user, that said you should change the supported platforms to the correct one that you supplied.
Figured out why everything happened so fast that I died in seconds: the speed is tied to the framerate. I was getting over a 1000 FPS on lowend hardware for today's standards. Limiting to 60 seems to have fixed it. Nice idea on what the difficulty selection does.
