Great game! The environment and platforming action was fantastic! Unfortunately I didn't have access to a controller and had to make do with the insane mouse sensitivity. But I still enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to seeing where you take this!

Thank you! I can’t wait to publish the update I’ve been working on after voting ends. The control issues have been fixed and all the moving platform glitches have been fixed. (less stutters and now accounts for momentum. If you have collected pickups, they do not re-appear upon returning to a level. Magic projectiles are way more visible, and so are the lightning bolts from the cloud enemy. Then theres a lot of other little improvements here and there. I’m working on the UI next.

All of the 3d models were awesome and you really used the full scope of capabilities of the visual limitations with the vertex metallic textures and transparency on the mint wrappers. Everything that's there plays super well with a controller and the number of features you managed to get working in the two weeks is super impressive! All it needs is a soundtrack to match to bump it to the next level! And I found the bee!

Thank you! Graphics are definitely my strongest skill. Music is next on my to-do list after making a UI. Oh and congrats on finding the bee! 🐝

Great job! I loved the environment! You can add some wonderful music and sound there (some willy wonka/disney inspired sounds could really make this game shine!) I also highly recommend using a controller for this game, it plays very well. Also, good work on the moving platforms! We tried to add those in our game, but didn't have enough time to make them work properly :p Well done!

Thank you! Good suggestions for the music. This is the vibe I'm thinking of. Those platforms gave me such a headache! The player uses a Character Controller and controller.Move for movement. You have to take the movement and rotation of the platform and calculate a velocity vector then use controller.Move a second time to apply that to your character controller. This article helped me get started, but it came with a few flaws I had to fix. This build still had a problem with vertical platform movement + jumping but I already fixed that and the mouse sensitivity and plan to release an update after the voting period ends.

I liked the game, the environment remained me of the old Spiro games and the gameplay I find it very pleasant, but, I try with keyboard and mouse at first and the sensibility was a bit higher, then and try with the controller and everything was fine.

Overall good concept and beautiful game, good job!

Thank you! I agree the mouse sensitivity needs work. Updates to come after the voting period ends!

I should quickly mention that there is only one level because I ran out of time. At the moment the hub world (the one with floating blobs of mercury) only has one level to go to, and the portal at the end of that level just takes you back to the hub world.

Next steps will be to make a UI that shows the player's number of lives, health, number of crystals collected, and number of Z's collected, add sound, and build more diverse levels. At the moment there is no significance to collecting anything, but eventually there will be. Think of the crystals like the gems from Spyro, and the Z's like the purple crystal in from crash bandicoot. Z's unlock levels, and collecting all the gems may unlock an alternate ending.

I added a bee somewhere in the game. Can you find it?
