There is some real ambition here ^^ the mysterious setting works well. Digitized filtered graphics are perfect! However, when you describe people, you should show them, even as a shadow (think a simple overlay, even blurred without a face if short on actors). I would say this is between 80s and 90s :) (text adventure with graphics above are more 80s, in 90s you see more who is talking to you ^^).  

Anyway pretty convincing narration! Keep it up :)
