Links or external references allowed?

I have an idea for a 36 word RPG, but it might require a link to a (safe!) site, that I incidentally have nothing to do with. All it would provide is examples of a particular thing; a thing that’s kinda needed for the game, mind you.

Otherwise, could the type of site (they are all safe, btw) be simply referenced in a general sense, even though, yes, said reference still points to external content, or at the very least external inspiration?

If this is considered “cheating” or even just not in the spirit of the idea, that’s okay. I’ll think of something else.

Thanks.

I'd rather the core rules in 36 words to consist only of "human facing instructions" as per rule 1.1.

With that said, I generally don't remove entries from the jam if they break the rules a little bit.

Quick clarification. You’d prefer:

your digital rights dot org

vs

yourdigitalrights.org

?

What I wrote is that I prefer people NOT to include links in the 36 words, but it's not something I would remove someone's entry for.
