Things I liked about the game:

  • The font
  • Unique skill categories and fun descriptions
  • The modern setting

Things I didn’t like:

  • No battle backs
  • No action sequences (despite having the Yanfly Battle Core?)
  • Very tanky enemies that can heal
  • Enemies can swarm you while reading dialog
  • Missing assets

This game is an honorable attempt but sorely lacking in polish. It’s also extra challenging to make a game with a modern setting since most of RM’s stock assets are meant for medieval fantasy settings, so kudos for that. Keep building your skills!

Okay so first off,  this game definitely needs some improvement. What really killed the game for me was the battles.

The battles were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO LONG!!!!! Random encounters at the start of the game need to end in about 3 turns or else the player will get bored quickly.

The visuals were okay but mapping needed some work.

Story was interesting however I didn't find it fit the theme too well.

Some questions:

When the zombies attack, why does the crowd just STAND THERE? If I were watching zombies attack the mayor, I think I would run... This felt very unrealistic and although its a game, you should still try to make your characters and cutscenes somewhat relatable.

Overall, I hope this feedback helps you. Work on the balancing and this will become much better!
