Hello there, everyone! We are CampTeam Games, a group of friends that enjoy making games.
Our latest game, that just got released today "The Creature In My Dreams" is a first person horror game that was made by two people in total in just under a total of 7 days (Even though the game is really short, we still had a lot of fun crafting it!).
There were days where we didn't have any time to work on the game, so we just left the project at its current state at that time and kept on working on it when we were free. The game has simple mechanics, an unique art style and is built around a terrifying, real dream. In total, the game took less than 7 days and it was a lot of fun creating it.
Now, the twist, we have just heard of the existence of 7dfps today. Technically and factually, our game is a first person game and is made in under 7 days. We didn't really document our progress aside from backups of early versions of the game from the last few days. The game takes less than 5 minutes to finish and it's pretty clear that it's made in under 7 days.
So, the question is how strict are the rules for this game jam? Is it just a small jam to encourage developers to make some fun games and that the whole point is to have a bit of fun? Or is it a bit more serious, where one needs to document their journey step by step and the competition is heavily judged?
We would love to hear your opinions on whether we should submit our little project as well! If any of you guys or the moderators of the jam happen to read this post, feel free to give your opinion and we will act accordingly!
Have a great day, people!
