The dream as parallel dimension mechanics are very clever and inspiring.
The core idea of this is really neat, and the writing and tone are super evocative. Has a ton of potential!

Surprisingly compelling for the relatively low amount of content. The dream mechanic is very nice narratively, and seeing the differences in landscape between the desert and the darkness was really cool. I managed to get to drinking the rat, and was about to look around and see if I could do anything with the full set of mushrooms, when I accidentally hit esc to cancel looking and the game closed. You gotta rebind that key man. There were a lot of things that I didn't get to discover the meaning of, and I'm not sure whether the game was full of red herrings or not, but the sense of mystery created from all these seemingly disconnected objects was really awesome. Well done.
Two characters, separated by millenia, begin to experience visions of each others lives...one in a snow-bound landscape, the other a blazing desert.
Each world seems to be a corrupted reflection of the other - every terrain tile, item, creature, etc. has a counterpart. And one of the characters might just be the ancestor god of the other...but which one? Time Will Tell. :D
This is my entry for 7DRL 2019 - My scope was way too big, so a lot of the story didn't make it in, but you can master the Bright Dream which requires a fair understanding of the mechanics.
