  • A really fun game for an incomplete project! I really like the weird dancefloor aesthetics, the way the music switches every time an enemy is on screen and the way monsters are distinct both in appearance/animations and in behaviour. The way spellcasters are only vulnerable after summoning their orbs and try to stay out of your range otherwise, or how multiple spellcasters often seem to cover each other is the sort of behaviour rarely seen in these projects. Of course, the current version appears unfinishable, and there is also a UI issue where the potions (?) eventually take up the entire bottom of the screen, completely covering your HP and other important information. Nevertheless, I find this promising and hope it becomes more developed in the future.

Great submission! I truly adore the art--wonderful sprites that have some subtle weirdness going on. The dynamic music is awesome, not sure if I've seen that in any of the other games this year!!
