Narrative Rougelike - Devlog

I'm going to have an attempt at making a rougelike that is more focused on narrative, I'm not quite sure what the failure state is going to be, but I think if there is combat, it's going to be very simple. Maybe I can get away with making everything multiple choice?

I started by making a visual mockup using rot.js, this tileset and some of my own javascript.

Maybe you can get inspiration from The Curse of Monkey Island’s “insult sword fighting” :)

Not a bad idea, but I don't think I have time for that :D

It doesn't look like much, but there's an actual dialog engine behind this!
(I am not very confident that this game is going to be even remotely finished soon)
