What a perfect little bite sized Sentai-sans-Super turn-based RPG - it's not fleshed out into a full length game, but it proves the concept real well - the humor, the mechanics, the graphics, it's all there. Literally my only complaint is that they don't assemble to summon a super mecha to finish off the last boss!
leaning into the 'RPG battle as a puzzle' gameplay is fun, it works, and I'm excited to tackle the Steam version!
The Metallic Man stared into my soul and made me leave this review, after I fell in the Uranus level and bashed my head against the absolutely merciless platforming. 10/10 would respawn again.
My enjoyment comes 90% from the music. I wish the rest of the game was this unafraid to be over the top. That said, it's perfectly playable, although it asks a lot of the player in terms of precision and tenacity.
Edit: I woke up today with the title music in my head and I feel like I can get my work done by body slamming the keyboard. If that sounds appealing, you should play this game.
metallic man's journey is just like mines.
