if a first time player of bitsy... and i like the top-down aspect. you should add more colors and some king of simple coding (like scratch) to make more complex games.
Sorry, didn't see your comment. I am quite new to game development and have mainly only used Gamemaker but I really like how user friendly it was. The sprites were easy to make and place and almost anyone could get involved. One thing that was confusing for me was the walls. I didn't realise that I had to make it solid and then make it for all rooms, but that might just be me. Thanks for creating such a fun little engine and hosting these game jams!
