What do you like about your game?
I've always wanted to make a more serious and narrative driven creature collecting game, and this jam gave me a perfect chance to start.

It's a cool game. I liked playing it. But I didn't finish, because I dided and the last save was so long ago. I think it should autosave after experiencing the light aberration. The red creature on the stairs was bugged and was jumping at me when I was above it without any warning. So it took me like 3 tries to get past that and a couple more deaths on the next 2 creatures. So when I died again and got teleported to the top of the stairs I called it quits . The creatures are kinda unpredictable too. I couldn't figure where to click to approach safely. It was mostly luck.

But I enjoyed it anyway. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback! You're right, once the jam is over I'll fix the issues you've mentioned.

I really like the lighting effects, really compliment the world you are trying to build with the monsters light/dark themes.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the dialogue as you suggested on discord. I think the obvious comically evil character 'D Locke' could in fact play well with the obvious Manichean light/dark themes.

The gameplay/combat itself is pretty fun (and can definitely be expanded on in cool ways beyond this jam). One thing that frustrated me a bit was getting totally jumped by surprise encounters if I clicked too far away.

Congrats on the release!
