The main mechanic is a stroke of genius; it has a certain simplicity yet is highly addictive. With more time, this could become a great game. Another notable effect is the background image with a parallax effect, and the other elements on the screen evoke the style of those Flash games, which brings me back to my adolescence for a while. .. XD
I really like this mechanic. Also your level design is fun. The spikes contribute to the hardness. :D
