I really enjoyed the pixel art for the character and the setting. The change in palette gave the impression that you were fighting all day and all night.
The air slash mechanic was satisfying to cut down enemies, but I would sometimes run out if I was trying to climb to a higher place. I liked the use of the slash refill as a way to allow you to traverse larger gaps.
The final scene had an ominous dream-like feeling that looked great with the color palette of the last level. Great work!
There's something peaceful about this one even though you're slicing through enemies. I especially like the main character's animations (the pony tail is great). I didn't make it all the way through because the wall jumping mechanic is way too frustrating for me on a keyboard; not sure why, but I had a lot of trouble with it. Otherwise, it's one of the most complete experiences in the jam. I'd love to play a full game like this.
Glad to hear you liked the game! The wall jumps were quite tricky even for me but unfortunately we didn't have time to provide controller support or make the jumps easier so sorry to hear that it was frustrating. Thank you for playing the game regardless.
