there were some p bad sound effect issues and a few fps drops
the combat isnt bad per say, i think the animations are good and it has nice feedback but the movement thats coupled with it doesnt feel great, and the fact that you can just easily stunlock everything making so there is no consequence to combat also makes it unengaging
also the hud is way too big and the camera seems to be locked in a way that makes the player always be on the bottom right
The HUD was rushed so it's too big yes and the movemeent is extremely wonky, I should add more interruptable attack to enemiees with proper super armor telegraph in my future projects, thanks for the feedback
Wow great 40 minutes of feedback, most of the bugs I'm aware are because I malpracticed in a lot of stuff like the hitbox system for example and I'd rather make it better from scratch in my next project in terms of proper systems instead of endlessly remaking this one, the stage completing before all monsters beiing killed is a consequence of this, and yes there is a collision issue with upper platforms but I never got why
I was originally gonna add more teelegraph to the birbs but I didn't do it, I'm so sorry I made you restart! it is true that it should be a Resume button instead of Restart, and it should have a Combo option too that shows the proper combos instead of a quick tip I missed that thought
I really like the smear and the entire animation style. It's very interesting when enemies push you around - maybe centering the combat around being able to do the same to enemies (and them having a bit less HP) could make the combat less monotone.
I learned how to fly, you can jump and start spamming the sword to zip around - it's actually pretty fun, if you could make it an actual mechanic it would feel like an old school ninja game - like Ninja Spirit on the PC-Engine.
I want to get better at the smear I think they look a bit dirty but I guess I could call it my "style" lmao, yes "flying" shouldn't be a feature unless I do it well and properly like aerial combos with an air dash or something, the whole movement system is super buggy, I will lower the HP on the enemies around 30%, I had the issue at playing my game too much and making it harder when it didn't need to, thanks for the feedback
Cutscenes are funny! The sound seems to be buggy, I had to mute the game shortly after I picked up the sword because I'd get some static crackling. There are also some graphical and physics glitches. Some of the dialogue also didn't' appear for me.

I really like the art and the cut scenes are 10/10 I do feel the combat is very spammy since you outrange the enemies, outspeed them, and if you hit them during their attack it looks like it cancels it.
