*note, I didn't play any survivors game*

Sorry for the great delay.

- I like the concept of the car and how you move (and drift).

- I like the idea of a second mode to break the monotony, but the stealth section needs a lot of work to be fun. right now seems just busy work like clicking a rock to gather minerals in a mmo.

- a blink when you get hit should be a priority. ED: I know there are power ups that make you tanky, but maybe 0 invincibility after you get hit is a bit too much

Overall I like it, mostly because drifting between hordes is very fun. The concept is solid because with "cars" you can have multiple chara with naturally different abilities: buss is slow but can take a lot of ppl; a sport car is fast but only one passenger etc etc

Developer

late response, but yes i agree with all of that. thank you! i will keep working on it for variation

A super solid concept here - the most I want from this is some UI feedback. A health bar in addition to the numbers, and maybe some more visual confirmation when picking up XP or the timer would go miles.

The first few play-throughs I was playing aggressively and not evasively, for some reason I had it in my head I had to just go for kills. Maybe screen flashes and visual feedback will deter new players from this. Excited to see more!

Developer

all correct will work on the things you mentioned, thank you!

Running over enemies is a cool twist, but there's no way I would want to do that due to risk of getting hurt, and there's no healing. Missile strikes it is then.

The sneaking mode sucks as it is, but stuff like that also opens a whole bunch of other possibilities, like having a world map for picking the next area in a roguelike fashion.

Developer

yes its all really unbalanced, will work on that! thank you!

I think i've run in a bug : i pressed enter and the camera stopped following the bus, like i was back on the "scavenge" mode. I pressed the arrow keys and i could move the camera around. (the zombies and the bus were still moving)  and when i brought it back to the bus and pressed enter, i controlled it again.

also the level up menu popping while you're driving cuts the "immersion"

The countdown doesn't trigger anything while in scavenge mode i think (i thought i would get found if i didn't go fast at first)

Otherwise, the driving, killing zombies and getting upgrades is fun, and catching the gears needed for upgrades gets tricky when you also need to drive between zombies walking over blood (they blend in well).

Developer

thank you for playing!

i reuploaded a fixed version fixing the bug you commented + other minor fixes. The cuts are very harsh, but the whole game is a prototype right now so i can make it pretty in the future.

I replayed it and the bugs i mentioned were fixed

It's a bit challenging to avoid zombies at the start, but once you've survived enough to get all the weapons you become unstoppable; at this point it looks fun to see bombs and blood flying everywhere, but it gets impossible to loose

I think the way the bus handles could feel better or be more fun, maybe by adding something like nitro to boost the bus when trying to go between zombies if you want to keep it simple

Developer(+1)

it definitly needs to be balanced lol adding a few enemy variations to hopefully break it up and also objectives on the map.

Good idea for bus moves. Should i continue this game or kill it?

it really depends on what you want out of it

Seems like a good start to a VS-type game. The premise is pretty funny, and it controls and moves well. I wonder if there is a way to better play up the fact that you're driving a bus tho, because at first I assumed you were supposed to run over the zombies. The capsule art even has a zombie smashed onto the front of the bus. I don't know exactly how that would work, but without it, the bus physics feel like an impediment rather than a fun addition. In other words, I feel like in another game, I could be doing the same thing, but without the added challenge of steering a bus. Even though the bus handled very nicely.

Developer

Thx for playing!

I understand the confusion, there's a fender upgrade that lets you hit them. but yeah, the whole onboarding can be done better if i continue this prototype.
