Wacky game! I included it in my compilation video of all of the Awful Holiday 2018 games!
(x/post) Just... wacky as all get out. Nightmare fuel, a good stream game (outside of some volume stuff, ouch) and a good addition to the #awfuljams brand. This is the second game I've played where I'm impressed with how much work nightrestraint put into and despite nothing feeling quite satisfying on its own as a package it sure is something. But also I kind of hate it if that's okay? I almost want to peek behind the veil and see what a polished game of nightrestraint's would look like. So, fair recommendation overall.
It's a festive Fantastic Game but with actual objectives to complete.
As silly as it all is, it does actually communicate its objectives pretty well and there's some genuinely fun things to do here and there. The humor in this game is pretty on-point and there really is a suprising amount of content for a week's work.

The humour hits pretty well, the silly animation and low quality texturing/modelling work together with the frankly pretty nice vocoder for spoken dialogue. The minigame stuff is all pretty simple, but it's also short so it's neither frustrating or feeling like a timesink. I went for reindeer at full difficulty and got a couple, but when I went back to finish it up I "captured" all the available reindeer and the saws left, with nothing to do but quit out. For a week, this is a decent amount of work done, nice.
