This my first game I've played that used game maker and for your first game jam, this was impressive. It could use some polishing on the colliders and the sword swings. Like for example, swing my sword then the character would rotate a bit. The story and graphics are very good. Very nice pixel art work. Health UI looks good. You should continue working on this. Good job on this man! (Also add some audio and music as it will change the experience) :)
I don't know if you took this on account but when you slash it go to where your mouse is pointing, I should have precised this in the game.
Yea I need to learn how to put good sound in games.
