One of my favourites, couldn't stop playing.

I compiled this and played it, was pretty fun. I liked how you handled the music during and between rounds. I felt like I was rocking it and then got destroyed. Toward the end, I think my computer started feeling it and the audio started skipping but otherwise a great time

I feel like there's a bit more you could do even post-submission to get some more eyes on this. The jam rules this time around allow for editing the itch page freely.

Your pitch on the itch page isn't super convincing. Maybe let people know that there's a complete and polished experience waiting for those who are bold enough to build from source.

Maybe add an animated gif or a screenshot of the game over screen?

My enemy, for most of their turns upgraded only their column count, so things felt super easy. There was a point where I was maxed out on the number of knight squads because I had no available rows/columns. At that time, it seems like I was also prevented from seeing squad size upgrades. Is that intended?

Are the assets all original? The artwork is super cute and the music as the game starts seems perfect.

The battles / fight physics were pretty entertaining to watch.

Bummer you weren't able to get builds up for the more common platforms. I think people would have enjoyed playing around and vibing with this thing if they were able to!

Would love to see this fleshed out a bit, maybe with some rock/paper/scissors-y unit types or something, and more upgrade variety.

Yeah currently the enemy AI just picks randomly from the item pool so it can be too easy if you get lucky. You are limited in the number of squad size upgrades, I was hoping to add more unit types and items so it wouldn't be an issue but should've removed the cap. All assets by me, glad you like it :)

and thanks for the feedback!
