Couldn't get the linux build of this working, I think some dependencies were missing. Do you happen to have the source available on github?

Developer (1 edit)

Sorry about that! The source is available here: https://github.com/Davier/last_of_ants/releases/tag/v1.0.0

Could you share the error message in an issue?

I wasn't sure what to do, so I ran around and clicked 3 or 4 times and randomly won? I tried it again and had the exact same experience.

Thanks for your review! There is one ant that you need to eliminate to win the game. It spawns in one of the “rooms” and walks in the colony. Unfortunately we didn´t have time to make a larger map so it can be very easy to find.

I like how crowded it feels with all the ants, or at least how crowded it felt until they were all dead. I tried to kill all the ants that looked like the one I got from the first clue, then I tried all the others hoping that would let me progress somehow and now I'm feeling pretty sad standing here with all those dead ants around me. Did I miss something or is this all you can do right now in the game?

Also the movement was a bit janky, jumping up got pretty frustrating

Thank you for giving The Last of Ants a try! One of the spawned ants is the Zombie Queen that you are looking for, and killing it brings up a victory screen. She might have been stuck in a corner of the surface where you can't go and might not have noticed her. Although we have never observed this kind of behaviour, we had collision misses at some point so there might be a possibility she wandered away from the playable area. I'm sorry about the jumping experience, we were out of time for a lot of things and didn't adjust this.

My brain hurt hurt from thinkie-think... I was a bit frustrated from not being sure what to do. Might give it another go later. I always like ants!
