Really nice! Lots of different planets to visit, cool models, cool physics and everything. And I loved how music changes when you visit a different planet, that's awesome! The only flaw I can see is that it's a bit difficult to see whether you're going to successfully land a jump where you want it, or not, because the character doesn't have a shadow, and platforms have too soft edges - it's hard to see where the platform ends sometimes.

If you have the time, please rate my game, too. It's not that techy tho ) https://daromaru.itch.io/solar-crew

Nice job!

I found the camera movement quite clunky making it quite hard to move around. I liked the music and how well the gravity on the mini planets worked too. The black edges around the objects were a little glicthy and I could often see through them. I must say though, the head of the character being see through was very creepy hahaha. Overall good game :)

I would appreciate if you rated my game too :)

Congrats for finished the game, well done.

You applied the theme very well. Really they are mini planets.
The planets are interesting. You created a lot in a short time.
The art and soundtrack are pleasing. It was a lovely experience.
I think it would be more fun if the character jumped a bit more in the beginning.

Please, rate my game and leave some feedback too =]

Wow, a 3D platformer collectathon in one week with an adaptive soundtrack? one of the most ambitious game I've seen for this jam so far! Was fun to explore, especially after getting the jetpack. didn't run into any bugs, game ran smoothly. Only thing that bothered me was it's sometimes hard to see where I'm going, so the ability to move the camera around with the mouse or something else would be a good addition. Amazing job!

Thank you for your feedback ! I especially appreciate that you mentioned the adaptive music. It was a late addition, but I feel it brings a lot to the mood of the different planets.

The field of view can indeed get frustrating, in particular when you gain altitude. Free camera control was somewhat incompatible with some of the ugly fixes I had to settle for in my code, so I had to forget about it for the jam's duration. I'll most likely work on a cleaner version afterwards.

Really amazing game for the jam! I played all the way through and loved every bit :D A couple tips: You slide a bit when you stand still on some platforms. You should add a physics material with friction to them :) Also, the art is beautiful and I loved the cell shader you have! Sometimes, though, it was a bit difficult to tell if I would land the jump because of the lighting. Maybe make the edges more obvious in terms of modelling? Anyway, loved the game, incredible job!

I'm really glad that you liked it ! Also, you do raise some good points.

Actually, I didn't use Unity's physics library to handle the character's behaviour, since it is not easily fine-tuned for a fluid platformer gameplay, especially one that diverges from standard gravity. That means I resorted to coding a character controller from scratch, using lower level functions for collision detection, resulting in some problematic edge cases when a platform's dimensions didn't allow it to follow the planet's curvature closely enough. All of this would still require a whole lot of polishing.

I also wholeheartedly agree with your second issue. This one could probably be solved by tweaking the shader I used for most platforms, and more importantly by giving the player more control over camera movement.

I hope you'll be able to play a more polished version in a not-too-distant future.

Added to my collection for this Jam to play more later!  Love the concepts.  Nice little game.  Perspective could do with a little adjustment as hard to understand at times.  Like the art style.  Good effort!

I'd appreciate it if you could take some time and look at my entry and rate it :)

Graphics in the game are great (I love black outlines of the models).

Music is nice, but I think it doesn't fit to the game theme (but it's nice).

There are also some things I would change: Player movement - rotation by A/D keys is a little bit unresponsible, I would like to move it by my mouse. Second thing is that some distance between e.g.columns are too long. You could reposition them.

In overall really cool entry. Good job!
