Great! I liked it! The visuals are good, the character's clothing, the huge sword and the bosses design. I struggled in the beginning trying to get used to the controls. But I found two bugs that broke my gameplay. I took a screenshot:
I got stuck IN the ground, couldn't move unless the lion hit me. Two times. But I did killed the lion. And I got stuck under it after defeating him and my hitpoints start to drop until zero. I don't think if this was suppose to happen. I believe that these two bugs are easy to fix by: 1) fixing the collisions in this region; 2) making the player invincible until the boss disappear or get deactivated after being defeated.
I don't know if there are other bosses. Maybe I'll try again if these two little issues get addressed.
So far, it is a good game! Worth expanding it.
Hi, thanks for the comments and nice feedback! Is it possible that you weren't actually stuck in the ground but that the character movement locked up after performing an action roll/sword swing or getting hit (stagger state)? That seems to be a problem that other people have been having and I am currently looking for a solution for.
So far there are just the two bosses you fought but we had originally planned to do a third boss, who is still coming! Hopefully with a bunch of bug fixes too :)
I see. That didn't happen in the first boss, that's why my guess was that the character was being stuck in the ground. Something to investigate!
Nice entry, The graphics are nice and the 3D animation are cool. On my computer (which is quite good) sometimes the game was slow and the input didn't work well.
Good Job
Thank you for the feedback! Do you mind me asking if it was lag spikes or prolonged low-framerates in certain areas (if so, which ones)? The game is certainly far from optimised but that is a point that I would like to address in the future.
Neat souls-like! I like the theming of mythical Africa. The Boss attack patterns were interesting, especially on the Rhino. The movement feels a bit like ice, but I had fun dodge rolling like crazy. I ran into a few bugs, sometimes the buttons would stop working but the camera worked, or the movement direction was off the camera center. I think it had to do with locking on. Hope that helps!
Hi, thanks for playing! I'm glad you had fun with with it and I regret that I wasn't able to completely remove the movement bugs (they appear to be somewhat hardware dependent, which makes them hard to reproduce on my side) but I will continue working on it!
