In what way does your game fit the theme?
The mechanic for getting your health back requires that you rewind your own time and kill a past version of yourself in order for them to drop a health item.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. All sprites , code, and music were done by us. The background image for the start menu was on a free image cite however and the AI was from A*. Other than that everything is made from scratch

I liked the idea of having to kill your past self to recover health. It’s an interesting mechanic that goes pretty well with the theme of rewinding. Also, the cinematic at the start of the game was simple, but well done. The game is great, but I have some minor issues, I think that the player’s movement was way too fast, and the number of enemies on a level is too high. Also, whenever the player gets hit, it would be better to have a “recovery time” where the player doesn’t receive any damage, just so I don’t die almost instantly because of 3 bullets that were too close from each other.

But overall, the game was fun, and I really like the fact that you were able to do all assets from scratch for the game jam. Congrats on the submission!

What an impressive submission! The art is very nicely done and the intro is very funny :) The pace of the game is a little too quick and because there is no retical/cross hair or indicator for when you damage an enemy, the combat is a little bit hard to read. I think that if there were crosshairs and potentially some damage UI text, the combat would feel a lot smoother and the difficulty of the game would become more of a challenge to overcome, instead of a frustration to get in to! This is a really detailed entry though and I think the devs should be very proud of what they were able to achieve :) If you get a second, please take a look at my submission, I would really appreciate some criticism and advice on what does and doesn't work about my game!
