Hi! This is a really well made puzzle game that uses the players control over the ball as the challenge by making intractable objects in the game reverse in rotation. You clearly managed your time in this jam really well to ensure that everything the game required was working perfectly instead of overloading the puzzles with features for the sake of features! I did find a few little bugs when landing on spinning platforms, where I was unable to jump despite pressing the button. This usually happened when I would roll onto the platform from an angle. I think the level design in this game is great and the dev should be really proud! I hope you had a lot of fun making this game and have learned a lot in the process! I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my submission if you get the time, as I could definitely do with some of your insight on what makes a puzzle platformer work :)

Hi! I've left my feedback and a rating on your game :) Good on you for looking for feedback on your project, I hope you've been able to learn a lot from doing the jam and make many games in the future!

Hi! Congratulations on the game, you have clearly put a lot of time into getting the level design to be different and challenging : ) I personally feel like you could expand on a few things here, perhaps giving some indication on which way the enemies will next move would give the player more of a feeling of control over the strategy they use, as there are a few spots in the game where you are left to guess which space to move to next! I also think there's just a bit too much of a delay between moves but these are things that are typically ironed out when given more time! All in all I think you have very creatively implemented the theme into your game and think you should be proud of your work :) I hope you had fun making your game and if you have any time, I would really appreciate some feedback on my project too!

This was a really great entry which clearly had a lot of work go in to it to make the objective work, clearly a very big brain on the developer! I thought the pieces to solve the mystery being hidden around gave a good interactive element to what could of been solely a thinking experience! I think that the theme could have been implemented better (perhaps you're locked into the playback of the tapes and rewinding at the right moments stores part of the perps alibi to an easier to reference notepad or something?) but I was completely immersed by the way that this was done and think the dev should be very proud of their work! I hope you had a lot of fun making this as it definitely feels like you put everything you could into it! If you get a moment, I would love some feedback on my submission to the jam, we have gone for different ends of the spectrum on our games and I think I could learn a lot from the way you introduced the controls of the game, and the general user interface as a whole!

Thanks for posting! I’ll check it out :)

Hi! Thanks so much for playing my game :) I really appreciate the feedback, I think I made a very quick decision surrounding the players speed and will look the put difficulties in place that modify this to make the game more enjoyable! Thanks again for the comment and the rating!

Sure man, I’ll take a look tonight! If you get some time, it would be nice if you could play and rate my game too, I’m looking for as much feedback as possible!

Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll take a look at both of these

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback this is a really valuable insight and something I had clearly overlooked in the dev stage:) I will take this all on board and in any future work I do, look to smooth the difficulty ramp and add some checkpoints into the mix! Thank you again for playing my game and leaving me some guidance for the future :)

Haha thank you very much! I worked quite tirelessly on this but definitely don't think it will be winning everything! I'm glad you had fun playing though especially if you didn't take part in the Jam :)

What a scary granny!! This was a really inventive use of the theme and I think the overall game is so well built that the developer should be extremely proud of their accomplishments. I think the double speed cookie should be nerfed a bit, as the player already slides around quite a bit and it makes it very difficult to control, also, the twin is able to put the battery in and restart the tape if they are next to the boombox and are captured, which removes the need to free them! I think that most of the spritework is really great in this game though and I had a lot of fun playing! My best score was 21! If you have some time, I'd really appreciate a review and some feedback on the game I submitted for this jam? I hope you had fun making this and congratulations again on your game!!

Hey, well done for making a submission in just an hour! It's a shame you didn't have more time to get involved in the jam but well done for throwing what time you could in to it :)

I have just played through a ton of the "need reviews" games and have been really impressed with how the theme has been implemented so differently in all of them. I think my favourite was Die and Retry. What games do you all think have the most creative use of the theme? Maybe share a link so everyone else can see some of the great work everyone has done this past week! I hope you all had as much fun as me developing and playing these games :)

Wow! Well done on all of the models in this game, their texture and the environment was very impressive! I liked the use of the rewinding time mechanic to be the instigator for the time you have to complete the levels and how the robots wouldn't exist if time goes back too far! I think this game would benefit from more refined camera controls and a crosshair/retical for aiming your bullets, but for a game made in a week this is certainly a very impressive one!! If you find some time, I would really appreciate some feedback on my submission to the jam. I hope you had fun making this and keep up making games with such amazing modelling!

A great effort on this game to make a challenging puzzle escape game where previous knowledge gained on your run is put to use! Restarting the level on collision with enemies takes a moment which is a little bit jarring and I feel the rewind mechanic could be incorporated more into moving the enemies (maybe when you rewind, everything freezes until you are happy with the positions, and then you restart time?). I think this is a very fun take on the theme though and the developer should be very happy with their first game!! If you get a moment, maybe check my submission out as well? I'd love some feedback as this is also my first released project :) I hope you had fun making this game and hope to see more out of you in the future.

Congratulations on the game! There is clearly a lot that you have put in to this and it shows! If I could give any feedback, the sprites appear to blur quite a lot on loading the game, which typically will happen in editors if the settings are not correctly set up (for example, unity uses a filter method that will usually blur pixel art!) I also noticed that scrolling the mouse wheel zooms the background in and out, but bugs like this are expected when you only have a short timeframe to work with! I also think you would benefit from looking into tiled-view when making your tile maps in your sprite software, as you can see the edges of the tile sprites in the cave, and tiled mode would allow you to draw a continuous pattern that will blend in seamlessly. I was impressed with the game and though that the use of a 3-second rewind timer was really cool! Keep up the great work and I hope you had fun developing this game :) If you get a moment, please take a look at my submission and let me know of any feedback or criticisms you have! I would really appreciate the opportunity to get the point of view of another developer in this Jam :)

What an impressive submission! The art is very nicely done and the intro is very funny :) The pace of the game is a little too quick and because there is no retical/cross hair or indicator for when you damage an enemy, the combat is a little bit hard to read. I think that if there were crosshairs and potentially some damage UI text, the combat would feel a lot smoother and the difficulty of the game would become more of a challenge to overcome, instead of a frustration to get in to! This is a really detailed entry though and I think the devs should be very proud of what they were able to achieve :) If you get a second, please take a look at my submission, I would really appreciate some criticism and advice on what does and doesn't work about my game!

I love the idea of the rewind powerup causing the graphics to revert to a more primitive style!! This is a very nice game with some smooth use of the players interaction with the mounted gun. I think slowing the enemies down a bit will give the player the ability to last for longer and therefore play more of the game, as right now there is not a lot of time between the enemy appearing on screen and damaging your base. I think you have used the theme very creatively and hope you enjoyed making this fun game! Play my game if you have a moment, I would love to have some feedback from another participant in this jam!

What an impressive game! I played through all 9 levels and think level 6 was definitely my favourite!! The way you have implemented the theme of rewinding via death but having things remain changed is brilliant and the level design and way that the mechanics of the game are taught to the player is excellent. I liked the basic nature of the sprites and think the blood particles on death was a really nice touch. The dev should be very proud of this submission as it is one of the best submissions I have played so far!

A really great take on the theme with the reverse side of levels being needed to get a point! I think that some of the levels could of had more of an explanation, but I appreciate the dev was likely trying to keep a pace in the game that is challenging! All in all I think it's a fun game and the dev should be proud of their accomplishment :)

Hey man, I tried to download this but it looks like you have only put the .exe file on the upload. The original build should come in a folder with the crash log, data and a .dll file as well. If you zip the folder containing all of this, and then upload it, people will be able to play your game and give it a rating :) I hope this helps!

A really great use of the theme to make an addictive game! It is a game that's easy to get into while also remaining challenging, with additional difficulties when you get complacent. I think some sort of key binding option would help this game become a bit more dynamic, though I also feel this would reduce some of the difficulty! Over all I think you did a great job :)

Hi it looks like you have uploaded the project files without the exported game! If you re-upload it please let me know and I'd happily try it out and leave a rating :)

Dang, I wish I knew the beast was a chill dude before killing him so many times! I enjoyed the theme of this game and the written prologue as an introduction. It would be nice to have seen a bit more animation in the sprites, and there were a couple bugs when trying to shoot on the perimeter of the map, but the pace of the game is very consistent and I like the 'story through gameplay' aspect of giving the player a chance to solve murders using the clues hidden in the articles!

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback, I will try to restructure the levels on any future work for this game so there is a bit more of a gradual difficulty increase! I have just downloaded Time Beast so I will give it a download and a rating once I've given it a play :) thanks again!

Hi! thank you so much for playing!  I really appreciate the feedback and what could be done better, I'll try to work on the spike collisions and wall materials and hopefully it will make the game more enjoyable:) I've just downloaded Unwind so I'll give it a play and a rating :) Thanks again!
