In what way does your game fit the theme?
Fighting hordes of enemies that chases you as you explore. The enemies get faster over time.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We used the Top-Down engine plugin in Unity along with some particle effects and UI that came along with the engine, and we bought the music license from a bundle. Everything else is from scratch

Solid game jam game! Really liked the effect when enemies die. How did you do this?

Developer(+1)

Thanks, the effect for the enemy death came from a preset that came along with the AI (it was from the Top Down Engine via Koala 2D). I simply replaced the AI with the enemy sprite, but kept the particle as placeholder. I would've made a particle effect for disappearing, but that one works fine.

the game was nice but it was super laggy and the enemies when they rap you they almost insta kill you

Developer

Thanks for the feedbacks. I did tried it myself (I'm primarily the artist behind the game), and I definitely noticed lagging as the game progressed and the enemy does become too aggressive (and the hitbox for attacking up and down is finnicky).

Developer

It is possible to beat the game without dying. Since it is a game jam, I allowed for the option to revive. After testing it numerous times, I forget about the vanilla difficulty experience, next time won't be so bad!
