How does you game fit the theme?
Instead of normal enemies attacking you, all of them are part of your character's imagination, which makes them "not real".

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all of the code from scratch, with help from a few tutorials, and I made most of the assets from scratch, but I used a couple of premade assets, which I credited in the game.

pretty good. my main critic with the game is that there isn't enough hard choices. there is no reason to not press e all the time. if there are trees ou walk to them. if you have wood you light the fire. if your sanity is low you go into the tent. there is never a situation where i had to  think "should i cut a tree or should i go take the fish" because it's either obvious or it doesn't matter. maybe try trad offs for all the choices for example maybe make it so that you can't move when cutting wood making getting wood a worse choice in some situations.

Developer

Thanks for playing! If I ever decide to update or remake this game, I'll definitely make it so the players choices have more trade offs.

Great Work, I Rated it!, can you help me with my jam entry?, It would really make my day if you rate mine too!
Thanks in advance!
Here's mine!!!: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1415313

Developer

Thanks for rating! I just played your game, and it was really good! I posted a comment on your games page.

It does seem like you can just out run the wolves with them affecting you and the ability to cut multiple trees at once allows you to play for a while.  I think if the wolves were a touch faster or it took more stationary time to chop a tree you'd strike a better balance.

Developer

Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely consider doing that if I decide to make a balance patch after the game jam.

Didn't quite understand how to avoid the wolfs, but it was a cool idea to add a "Sanity" bar instead of a health bar!

good job

Developer

Thank you for playing! Anyway, you need to go into the tent to make the wolves disappear.

Nice Game

Thank you!

The game is good and fun though, but I think the wolf are so fast to spawn which makes it more hard to survive in early but anyway great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

And yeah, I did increase the wolf spawn rate to make it harder, but I may have increased it a bit too much.

Simple, elegant design

I don't know if this is a bug or not but after a while I became unable to recharge my sanity by sleeping. Maybe my guy got used to getting mauled by packs of imaginary wolves

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Also, about that sleeping thing, it's not a bug when your sanity isn't recharging while sleeping. It stops recharging and just freezes it if your campfire's fuel gets to low.

Wow, very cool game! The wolf that got out of the water got me, ha-ha.

I love it!

Developer

Thanks for checking out my game! Yeah, those wolves can really appear out of no where. (Man that characters got to stop being so afraid of the dark)
