I am a huge fan of murder mystery visual novels and Holmes has a special place in my heart! I really like your creative take on a dialogue-focused story and everything from the writing to the art helps to sell this rich setting! I also really liked the "push" feature! A tutorial would be helpful, but honestly for the time frame of the jam, this was amazing. I will have to set aside a few hours to explore every option I can.
Big fan of Sherlock Holmes. An even bigger fan of Hound Holmes. The dialogue captures the essence of a Holmes case and investigation excellently. And of course, the pixel art and music is fabulous!
My only issue though is that it's incredibly easy to soft lock myself while asking questions. If I accidentally select a question or option I've previously asked, the game stops completely. I lose access to using the space bar to progress dialogue and no other options appear for me to select. The small space between each question makes it easier for this soft lock to occur.
Sadly, I got too frustrated to complete and actual run of the game; but if you folks decide to polish it more or continue working on this, I would for sure come back to play it again!
We also realized the issues you mentioned after the Jam was posted. Some specific combinations of actions can leave you without answers, but we'll update with a fixed version correcting those along some minor writing mistakes just after the Jam has finished. I'm glad you were able to feel the atmosphere of a Sherlock adventure: we are big fans of the character too, and hearing that from another one feels wonderful.
Really appreciate the feedback, thank you so much!
Thanks! We wanted something different than just making choices, so we thought knowing when to press and when to pursue specific words or ideas in the text were nice mechanics for a mystery game. Glad you enjoyed it!

No problem! Can't wait to play it again!!^^
Very atmospheric, loved the art and the music!
nice writing as well, slowly uncovering a mystery finding the correct faults in speakers statements is a very cool mechanic

Charming artstyle, I like the character design and writing. Good use of Godot for a jam game - works quite nicely.
Thanks! It was our first time using the engine too!
