Is defining new anatomies for pets in Bodies.xml valid for the pack?

Is it ok to submit real life pets as pets to this jam? I liked the mod where he put his dog as an addition (Ares mod).

Thank you for doing this jam, it's been excellent. 

I have no clue whether this is the right place to ask, but was thre any specific reason for why the wait period for this jam was so short? For the previous two jams, I remember them being announced over a month before the actual submission period started. Just as a personal thing I really enjoyed having all that time to plan, and found myself sort of missing it during this jam.
