Okay I've now played your game for a bit (second level I think). The art and music were nice, though the volume is turned down pretty low by default. I found that when climbing a ladder, it isn't possible to stand on top of it and jump onto the platform next to it. Perhaps you can also remove the fall damage and show the lie about what to do continuously (or have a key to press).
Thank you for the feed back! The fall damage is definitely something we need to work on, since it is very counter intuitive to the player on how the distance is being calculated. The ladder is of course buggy as well :P. hopefully we will work on polishing the mechanics of this game in the future.

The animations are pretty spiffy, and the game is definitely challenging! Quite the fun platformer, really!
