Wow! It's rare to see a card game in the jam. Nice! Looks like a lot of thought and game design went into this. Reminds me of the card game BullSh*t. This would make for a great online game so you aren't relying on players looking away from the screen when its not their turn. It could have used some ambient music during the game. But nonetheless, this is a very nice game. Great job! :)
I'd love if you could send over some feedback on our game.
Very difficult to evaluate this game on my own. And I don't have a second player. Generally, you may want to stay away from multiplayer games when doing game jams, as they cause this problem quite a lot.
After a few hands I understood the mechanics, but I find the UI communication quite poor. It was difficult to understand who won and who lost. There are many ways you could have improved things. A few examples:
1. Particle Systems to indicate who won clearly.
2. Colours on the back of the cards being different between the two players.
3. Clear wording (don't say "Is Player 2 lying?" - "Truth", "Lie", because this may mean that you think the statement that the player is lying is true).
I didn't appreciate the graphics, like TRex nuts or whatever. Juvenile humour in my opinion. Which tends to be terrible, cause young people don't do humour.
I think the them hasn't been hit also, because it's not that your game is a liar. Your players are.
Good job on the theme!
