  • I found this game to be hilarious yet couldn’t get over the missed opportunities with the game. The Monster looked so out of place in this world, people would react to you in the most nonchalant way imaginable and the fights and weird endings were hilarious. I just wish there was more to it than walking through a city and attacking random folks. The only things I could destroy were cars. You could have ramped the destruction up to 11 by making it so you got into battles with entire buildings. Nothing in this game mixed together so you definitely fit the Jam criteria. - Flapperultra
  • Healing ability should be better communicated to the player in-game. Through some dialogue, maybe? Same with wrecking two cars to trigger G-Zilla dialogue. Maybe having low health after a battle could trigger a tutorial dialogue. G-Zilla's movement is really slow too. Of course he's a big lizard thing but this feels as though it's to the detriment of the experience. Also, I would highly suggest to reconsider the fonts used in the game. The game achieves an incredible low-spec, kinda PS1-ish art style that's very appealing though janky. I feel the font choice might be working against that charm. That being said, the personality and wit of the dialogue is just sharp. Really sharp. Its whole humour, honestly. I also found the music in the game to be, acceptable. The track for the city map is alright, the Battle and Lab themes were good though. And the music the plays when you talk to the Skill tree legitimately had me jamming. Speaking of audio, though. I think it was too low? Not sure if the issue is on my end but this game's audio was for sure pretty low. Overall, though. I'm impressed.

Thanks.  :)

Battles with entire buildings would be quite interesting, maybe they should dance like Cuphead also.  Why not.  and sing.

I agree, theres a lot that could have been added.  Sadly, I had in real life responsibilities so I didn't have as much time as I liked.

I'll probably keep working on it after the jam, then put it on Itch/Steam, so I'll definitely consider your feedback.
You said, "I just wish there was more to it than walking through a city and attacking random folks." <-- Would be glad to hear your thoughts.

Very creative and very funny!

However I feel like the game is held back by the engine, its very hard to tell where to go and what is destructible, not really sure on my goal and such.

I don't think the RPG mechanics mesh too well with the rest of the game, but that might just be my personal taste. I just think it doesn't flow too well.

Its very stylish though. I do think the concept has a lot of potential.

Hi Silvia!

This was done purely just for fun.  I am glad you liked the creative and funny aspect........since that was all I really focused on XD

The RPG element is intentional, because you'll need to level up with the timer running in order to get a high SCORE (Although the timer doesn't run in battle in the alpha demo).  It's a game balance mechanic where knowing weaknesses and other factors would decide a better SCORE and thus more events unlock.  It would make the game progressively harder each stage if you fall behind too much in SCORE.

If you don't like the RPG aspect, totally OK, I value your honest feelings and opinion.  It would be interesting to make this an action game with G-ZILLA, you have a good point there haha!!!

Now that you'd brought up what you think, I'd be curious how many people like or don't like the RPG/Action mix!

I think if the action was more refined I wouldn't mind the balance of genres, but I'm not sure how limited you are with your engine.

Some small tweaks to balancing to make it so that there aren't a lot of early deaths to combat encounters (as well as a few extra navigational pointers) could go a long way in making the game something more enjoyable. Still, a great time overall, I love me a good silly game every once in a while.
