So on playing this again after the stream I think the controls could use some work seen how some are not working or buggy.  I was a bit confused on how to help on the distress calls.  I really like where this game is headed from the look and feel of the game.   I was a lot to do in 2 days and I am sure you ran out of time for the polishing parts.   I is a beautiful art style and I hope you continue to work on this! Good job and thanks for participating in the jam!

Thank you for playing!

It is very buggy indeed, I'm still learning the basics of code in Construct 3 and 2,5 days is goddam short! I am still working on it!

The idea of the game is to explore a large randomly-generated space area, where your goal is to find planets in order to get your stats up (hp, stamina, speed, unlock weapon). The more you build your ship, tougher the enemies are.

The ultimate goal is to prepare and upgrade your ship in order to find and defeat the boss (not designed yet).

Oh and colonized planets may have special interactions, such as giving the control of a missile launcher, or resource farmer...

Well, more "soon" ;)

The controls were a bit confusing, but I figured it out. W key did not work for me, I used Z and it was fine. The bullets from the enemies and your ship can pass through the asteroids, and the bullets form the enemies pass through your ship. The visuals look nice.

The art direction is cool, but I think the controls are broken.
I could only slide on the X axis, regardless of which direction the ship was facing.

Developer

The movement control consists in just 2 keys : W and S  (qwerty).

W to give speed and acceleration in the faced direction
S to remove some speed and stop the ship

Give it a try again and focus only on the  W/S keys + mouse !

I tried it again, but it feels like the vertical axis is ignored cause I can not go up or down, only left or right.

I don't know, it does not really matter which direction I look, it's either does not even move, or starts to strafe left of right.

Sorry about that, I am working on a V2 of the game, I hope it will work better ! Thanks for playing (twice) :)

Movement didn't follow the way the ship was pointing each time. Felt like W didn't do anything at all. Enemies were very easy. The sounds and graphics weren't bad at all! Would like to see what this game becomes if the controls get polished a bit more!

W is for qwerty keyboards. Have you tried Z ? It is supposed to give acceleration to the ship, until it reaches its MaxSpeed. It needs a little time of learning, but you know when you got it ;)

Nice top down shooter, needs a tutorial. Distress signals are everywhere and I never had a problem. Also I think enemies cant hit me.

Thanks for playing ! The enemies are weak, their bullets hit you for 5 PV.
