I was a bit slow on how to play this game at first but after a bit I was in the flow of it.    Controls felt good and the bullets seemed to always shoot correctly.    I would say make the game gradually get harder and not have the enemy's be so fast at the end so a player can get used to the game at first.  Anyway good job and thanks for participating in the jam!

cool game! It's a creative take on the typical top down shooter. My only critique is when the enemies chased you, they would stick close together, which made it hard to aim at one in particular (i.e if one was at 3 and one was at 2 and I wanted to shoot the 3 with a 2 bullet, it was hard to do).  Otherwise, good job!

Nice game. You had a really good game idea to start with and your game art was pretty nice. Only one thing... I think that they move a little bit too fast, as I could never get a chance to shoot them. (Maybe I just have bad reaction time, idk)

Developer

Thank you! :D
The art was made by one of my friend, we just forgot to submit as a team on Itch, I was doing the programming and level design.

Yeah, it's always a  bit tricky to balance your own game, also you can dash with space, so you should be able to outrun them.
A lot could be changed, to make it better, but I think this is the end of the development for this game. :D

Oh... I completly forgot about dashing! It is much better now :)

Really enjoyable game. I don't know if this was intended or not, but once the enemies start to follow you, they never stop. It didn't bother me, but I find it a bit weird.

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! :)

If I remember right they should stop, but a few hours before releasing the game I did ramp up the their search radius (and forget about it later), so unless you dash around on the bigger maps, it's unlikely that you will lose them, but it should be possible.

I really like the design of this all around.  Really cool take on the theme and really interesting way to handle it in a top-down shooter.  Decently challenging and not frustrating at all.  I loved how some of the fruit bounces around the room and ruins everything haha.  If there's one point of feedback I would say I guess it would be I wish it was a little longer, but hit's a short 2 day game jam so totally fine.  Really good job on this one!

A few more levels would have been great, but we were pretty low on time (at least I thought so, cause itch says we were 1 hour early, and I thought we finished just in time... xd).
Also I felt that doing more levels with more enemy would be kind of cheap...
but it probably could work with different fruit pool for each level.

We had a banana for example, that would bounce a lot, and insta kill the enemies, but I forgot to use that in any of the levels... 😅

Great concept with the food reducing different amounts. Very much enjoyed it!

I was a bit afraid people would not like the concept, but I guess it turned out to be fun. :D
Thanks for playing!

Fun game, really liked the mechanic of shooting food with different number. Good job!
