Our wonderful panel of Judges will share their BEST OVERALL Choices here with maybe a few words!

Scott Adams is one of the founders of the computer gaming industry! He created Adventurelandthe first text adventure game for microcomputers. Released in 1978, it involved the search for thirteen lost artifacts in a fantasy setting. Due to its success, Scott formed the company Adventure International, which later went on to publish twelve similar games in different settings.

Hi All,

A lot of interesting concepts here.

I am not a fan of horror games, but You are being Watched was certainly atmospheric and flowed well. Just not my type of game. Very scary when taking the final wrong move!

Breakdance Streamer was fast and furious, but I was at a bit of a loss at what I was trying to accomplish. I could see viewers going up and down but it was happening too fast to see what the cause was. I assume it had to do with correctly performing dance moves. A cute little twitch/reflex type of game but not something that normally attracts me.

PeekaBoo was a cross of a twitch/reflex game and horror. Again, neither one of my strong suits. But it played well and I could see where it might be addictive.

Avitor's Walking Sim was different. I found if I quickly turned and at being watched I stopped losing health and could turn around quickly and continue. But to be honest I wasn't sure what I was trying to accomplish. I walked both left as far as I could and then next playthrough I tried right. Neither one gave any difference to the ending. I wasn't sure what the purpose was.

Finally, The Parable of the Forsaken Maple. It had good graphics and a lovely story with music. I played both read through and puzzle mode. The puzzle were simple but I may have glitched something at the end as I had a log on the screen and Herr Bach waiting for me to do something. Plus the AI reading the script seemed to have a problem with Bach's name pronunciation.

Of the 5 submittals my favorite was Parable of the Forsaken Maple even though it probably would have very limited replay ability. Of course that tends to be the case in most puzzle games. You are being watched gets a bit honorable mention for having smooth video and interesting exploration. I just am not into horror genre and prefer things  more uplifting.

Thanks to all those who got their submissions in for this jam week. (I notice one entry made it with seconds to spare) Keep up the great work and have fun being creative!

God bless and Happy Adventuring all,

Scott Adams
