Alright, really liked the visuals in this one, as well as the movement and combos. The attack pattern of the enemy is pretty good—easy to spot and adapt to.
Now, there are some pretty massive issues. First, the Naga’s health bar doesn’t seem to end. I got it well under the visual indicator, and the Naga did not die. But that’s just a bug, I imagine.
Second, the hit animation—the grey circle of the sword—is a misleading visual, as it doesn’t really match the actual attack hitbox. It took me a while to figure that out.
Also, the Naga always attacks twice with its melee hit, which makes the game feel slow. The play pattern of hitting it and dodging turns into: hit, dodge, wait for the second attack (which feels unnecessary), then get ONE hit in and repeat. Although I did have better luck lining up the three-hit combo with its walking animation, and that last hit felt better.
I would probably also lower the Naga’s health—it really doesn’t need to be this much of a grind with such a low amount of mechanics.
And well... this really doesn’t fit the Ctrl Alt Jam 2025 themes, so there’s that.
But an actual simple boss rush with these graphics, if more refined, could actually be a pretty good game to spend time with—akin to the Elden Ring boss rush mod.
The First and the Second thing were fixed on the Desktop version BUT Thank you very much for your feedback, it helped me a lot!
