Installation Requirements
Use the resource pack.
For track-laying name a hopper minecart "Tracklayer".
Put minecarts in water.
Run it over an activator rail and see what happens.

Well done! This is a really useful datapack and a solid implementation of the concept.

The water minecart is great, but I'm even more pleased with the track laying minecart. It's super simple to use in game and I can totally see it being useful in survival. Small note, it seems like your resource pack includes all of the textures, and models, and literally everything for all the blocks and mobs and stuff. It would make the file a lot smaller if you deleted out everything except the stuff required for the datapack. It'll still work just fine in game without all the extra stuff. Great work though!

Thanks for the feedback! I know about the resource pack but I was running out of time so I couldn't copy what I was using into a new pack. I probably will with an update though- I'm still working on this. Also, do you think the track-laying minecart should be able to place things like powered rails?
