Ok so the premise is very cool and the movement is great and the combat idea is cool BUT the combat really needs some hints and explanations. I only figured out the 2 attacks by looking at Cpt Coder's video after a while and seeing what he did. Don't know if there's more because I tried a ton of combinations but nothing. Also, I had no idea what the "glinting lights" that you interact with do.
I did find a couple of lost souls and managed to send them to the coffin but I didn't get through to the end as I was eventually slain.
There's a really cool game here that could use a bit more UX.
I don't think it's crazy, but I've completed the game, although I died once.
This game made me feel dumb, like really dumb. Yes, I stepped into the spikes after I was told to.
It was fun discovering the Smash and Stab attack (I wonder if there's more) by chance by drawing random patterns. I think I've got a bit lucky finding the 4 spirits (or there are extra ones?) as my exploration was a bit chaotic, I've not explored the full dungeon and I think they're levers I've stumbled upon but never pushed.
The premise of the game is cool and you feel it when playing the game through the visuals and texts, the game is atmospheric and the notes are cool. The game looks good, I really like the look of the eye enemy and it's pretty cool that all the gfx were created during the jam. The game controls good, movement feels good.
Combat system is cool with the caveat below, I really liked that some enemy (I think it's the spirits?) took different damage from the Stab and Smash attacks and as already mentioned discovering the patterns was cool (and if there are more patterns it's even more cool but I wouldn't know). Rise in power is satisfying.
My only concern is that I think that combat is much too slow.
This is a cool entry, thanks for sharing.
The web version took a long time to load and then went unresponsive. 😟
Feels quite polished and there seem to be much content to explore but I got stuck in the fight without any attacking options.
But besides that really promising entry, good work!
Cool entry, I like the premise and the goal but I got stuck and couldn't finish. My only attack options were "attack" that brought up a matrix of orbs that all said a spell doesn't exist. The other option was decrees that brought up smite and consecrate. Consecrate didn't seem to serve a purpose (that I could figure out anyway) and smite hit the enemy but once decrees was 0, I couldn't kill any enemies. Upon dying, it seemed I was also still stuck in combat with an invisible enemy. So I'm not sure if the combat system was unfinished/bugged or if there was some other way I was supposed to do during combat.
This one I felt had a lot of potential but was unable to finish due to the reasons above.
I managed to find 3 of the souls before getting completely lost and turned around in the dungeon.
A ton of great stuff happening here!

Very interesting. I liked it and I was very engaged, one of my favorite things being that I didn't really understand the mechanics but I felt I could experiment and explore them. This worked for a little while until I ran out of charges for Smite and had no idea how to cast an attack spell so I just passed all my turns while I got murdered by the undead. I would like to know how to attack.
The atmosphere and mood were top notch, I loved those. The objects on the floor and in the world in front of me felt too far away when I interacted with them. Maybe the tiles are too large or things are placed too far back in the tile. The idea that I could spend spell charges on upgrading my stats was really interesting, I loved that.
Oh one more thing - I think your maze was well designed. It was hard for me to figure out if the levels were switched on or off but otherwise the exploration was very interesting.
Nice job, it’s a really solid entry. Nice afterlife atmosphere, snappy movement, a lot of things to explore, levers, spikes, blades :D
I actually only figured out that “attack” does something after reading comments here, I’ve beaten the game with smites only… At first I thought that you need to unlock or discover some kind of powers for those orbs in attack mode to be active, but yeah, I was wrong :)
Some more uniqueness to the dungeon would also help navigating it a bit better, but map also helped.
Game looks great, but tutorial or little description on main page is what really needed here, mechanics is not that clear
I couldn't really find wrong. it ran, it was fine. no real thought on that front.
The tile size seemed a bit large, and it also felt very empty

This one seems so nice. Great graphic, with many animations. The FOV looks a bit of to me. For example look at the first lever and then turn left, the gate then looks rather strange. I had a hard time to figure out the battle system, so I think you should add some instructions to the games page. I hope that is allowed after during the rating period, as it would increase your games chances.
Nice job! great presentation and atmosphere!
I played the whole thing!
Really enjoyed most of it, but the beginning was really tedius, not everything is really explained or maybe I just didn't see the explanations, at first I just leveled up and then went in the maze, the levers felt a bit confusing, really liked the battle system and I tried all the combinations in the first encounters cause I didn't actually know what could I do, so far I figured only slash and stab cause the "trying out part" was just at the beginning, it would have been nice having a manual to explain the moves, and also the spells, the first time I encountered a lost soul I was stuck in "Resisting" and I didn't know I need to use the RIP move, also it bugs when you die, the game revives you at the spawn but you are still in combat, after the first death and also having learnt that the RIP move kills the souls I just speedran the game spamming slash or stab after maxing spirit and never used anything else, loved that part ahah, after a while when only one soul I felt the tediusness of the exploring, the map helps you but you really have to wonder a lot and since the tombstones felt really randomly placed in such a vast area but after 10-15 mins of wandering I found the last tombstone!
Overall good but the deathbug plus the exploring and the first minutes of playing really held it back.
Presentation was very good! Loved the graphics, sound was good but really lacked music and ambience!
