- Very well done!! I love the out of the box mechanics and fast pace in this game. I did get stuck toward the end when my ship disappeared lol. I loved being able to pick who was who and the sprites were suuuuper cute!!! Thank you for joining the QADG Jam v1!

This was a nice little project. I liked the loop of exploring to find ways to increase your attributes, though I wish the interactions were a bit more varied as the maps and NPCs repeated. I was never really sure what those attributes did, but I think with some added explanation and depth it can be a fun experience with the possibility of branching paths depending on choices.
Thanks for playing Maela! :)
Yeah, I ran out of time to balance stats and diversify the scenarios/maps some more. It's something I'm planning to do though, when I continue working on this.
I liked it, but one teleport was on the wrong spot so I lost my Hero Harold forever ;(
Noo! So sorry to hear that :(
Do you sorta remember where exactly it happened? Did it happen at the first map or the second one?
Second down. I believe it's a wrong teleport location at an Island.
I dig the board game/Mario Partyesque approach to piratin' you got going here!
I'll give it another go trying different choices later on, but my first run ended prematurely: When entering the south-west town on the southern map, the "we've got the next part of the treasure map" cutscene I saw after buying the map in the town on the first map happens again. When I left the town, I came to find my ship nowhere in sight! I might've missed a "robbed by pirates" side quest, but I'm guessing the ship got transported back to map #1. :D Cool, cozy pirate project from what I've seen so far, though!
Oh no! Sorry to hear you got stuck. :( I didn't have much time left to betatest it, but it is definitely possible to complete the game.
A tip to avoid this bug: Once you have access to a new map just stick to that map (so no backtracking to a previous map).
No worries! It was a breeze to get there, and the random event rolls lends itself to more playthroughs, anyway. I posted a "please don't do this so as to avoid bugs!" section on my jam page, so I totally get how it is. :D
Not sure if this'll help you isolate the issue I ran into, but my route went like this (and was backtracking-free!): On map #1, I went to the southernmost area, then the three top ones from right to left; on map #2, I went up, then down, and then left, where the cutscene/boat-napping happened.
Thanks for the feedback. The bug should be easy enough to find it thanks to that ^^
