I can't play the game... It says something about a JNI error, or something...
Can I rate based on the screenshots and comments alone? I don't think it would be fair but I'll give it a shot...
Edit: Okay, I downloaded the fixed version and can play now! It seems fine, but I could never get enough money to do anything... maybe I just don't understand how these turrets work well enough, but I feel like the enemies should give you a bit more cash.
I also overloaded a turret with 6 additional power supplies. It was glorious! Kinda wish there was an explosion animation after it detonated
Thanks for the review! Unfortunately I ran out of time and couldn't add any effects to the game within the time limit due to the issues caused by my bad audio manager. I agree that the enemies' drops were probably a bit too small, I'm planning to fix that in future builds.
An explosion effect was actually added in the post-jam build, so that's already been taken care of :D
I couldn't figure out how to get towers to be powered. I can't place power cells close enough to towers I think? I certainly can't place them as you have them in the pictures.
Yeah, I should probably explain that on the game page. You power the towers by dropping the cell directly onto them.
I can't launch the game for some reason. I have java installed, and I can launch other java apps, just not this one for some reason. It keeps telling me: "JNI Error has occurred/Java exception has occurred."
Hey, thanks for letting me know! It seems like the Java version I used was too high for most people to run, I just uploaded a Java 8 build which should work for most.
I'm still getting the same error message. I'm running Java version 8 Update 231 (Build 1.8.0_231-b11) if that helps. It says that's the latest version. These are the messages I'm getting:
Seems like I accidentally exported with the wrong build settings yet again, sorry about that! The one I just uploaded should be working.
Sweet! That did the trick, it works now.
