Fun and simple concept, executed well! It would be even better if your jump height depended on how long you hold the button (you can do that fairly easily by setting the vertical velocity to 0 when the button is released while the vertical velocity is positive).
Cute game. I think we first had a similar idea.
I think the only thing is missing is "a purpose". The possibility to die/getting points for collecting food or have a timer or something like that.
Apart from that fun concept!
I would like to see some score to keep track of how many melons I collected.
