Nice simulation. I included it in my Sim Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I spent an inordinate amount of time in this game despite its lack of interaction, but aside the "walk without carrying anything" awkward animation where feet go over each other, it is a complete experience with a bunch of nice details, like the non-monotonous pathfinding, the real time shadows, the animated grass and fire, and the background objects.
I liked the art and a lot of the music. The game has some details that I like when they go to the camp
the GOAP system is cool too, but it has no control, you know, my feeling is to watch an animation
What did you use for your GOAP system, and did you find it nice to work with? I worked on something extremely similar, but with behavior trees for a hunter / porter with an eat / cannibalism loop.
