I liked this a lot! It's a very short story, in which your choices bring you into contact with a range of curiously supernatural entities. It avoids cliché nicely and it's creepy. I liked the sound too.
This was an atmospheric piece and I enjoyed the local folklore!
I did notice a few typos, and it looks like there might be a bug in one of the “keep looking” scenes, where a section about land sharks was supposed to be revealed but instead just came through, code and all, as plain text.
Yeah, I didn't notice that during testing. I looked at it and it was not liking the kind of quotes on it. Should be fixed now.
Having lived through Katrina, I found this story very relatable. I enjoyed the "oddities" that really do occur during storms. When I am able to get a visual from what I read, I know the author has crafted their words perfectly. Nicely done.
Yeah, I was 13 living on the Northshore when Katrina hit and I kinda have to deal with hurricane trauma in some artistic way at least once a year. Plus Ida has been at the back of my mind since it hit last year, on the bloody anniversary of all dates.
