Theme (Ennemy)

Green Tail

Correlation to theme
This theme is a mysterious showdown with a fiend of the forest. A threatning foe- but curious, too.

I really like the brassy chords you use throughout - they give the song a “big” feel. I noticed how your melodies have a high offbeat to onbeat ratio which has an effect that takes the slower tempo and makes it feel swifter, which I think is a cool effect that matches the character. Thank you for sharing!

You got a good base going on! It's a bit on the short side, but I can imagine that time-constraints (and perhaps a lack of knowledge how to continue it - that is what I often have!) might have gotten in the way. Your three instruments - a drum, brass section, and melody - work well together, and the slow speed gives it a bit more of a soft boss-feel. I feel like a lot can be done with this, perhaps by adding another (background) instrument, or by extending it with more sections. Well done :)

There is a very interesting sound at the very beginning, like the howling of a wolf. It brings a dramatic atmosphere to your composition.

I hear your music more as an intro to a fight than as the fight itself. But since the jam is called "enemy encounter" and not "enemy fight", I think it fits the theme.

I liked it! But it doesn't give me the feeling of a fight and more like a sort of chat with the character.
