I think it looks clean, and you definitely have the mobile aesthetic. I would zoom out the camera tons though, the whole game just feels like a guessing game without being able to see anything, also, I think levels could have been laid out to fit the gameplay as the sections with just danger for parts do not feel do-able enough. If you do improve on this prototype, maybe this could become a mobile game using the devices gyroscope for rotation, and the more it is leaned side-ways the faster it turns. :)

Hey! Thank you so much for this feedback.

You got the idea! It was originally intended to be made for mobile with the gyroscope feature. Unfortunately, there were two reasons why I didn't push through:

  1. I don't have a non-iOS phone at the moment. I still need to borrow a phone if I wanted to test it. (If you know a way around this, do let me know)
  2. I figured that it would be an inconvenience for the players if they undergo tedious installation process just to play the game.

I do agree with you about it being zoomed out by tons and about the levels. For this game jam, I let the randomization do the work for me because I did not have enough time to think it through. Hahaha. Rest assured, I'll lay out the levels and add variations when I improve this.

Again, I appreciate this!

I like the look and the concept, but I don't feel like having enough control over what's happening, it's a bit disorienting as  I keep rotating the screen in the wrong direction.

Developer

I apologize if you felt that way. I'll try to improve the controls in the future or maybe this might get solved if the gyroscope thing works.

Thanks for the feedback!

There's nothing to apologize about. As far as experimental games go, this one isn't bad. There are no technical problems, it runs smooth, it looks good, it sounds good it is visually appealing, it's just the gameplay that needs some tinkering. It's not clear to me if I should try to keep the ball rolling or falling/flying, should I keep it moving fast or slow, should I avoid or try to hit the top or bottom? The black walls seem to pop up unexpectedly and recovering from getting stopped is very hard.
