Tomb of Bomb - Extra Credits Game Jam version's itch.io page

Theme inspiration
My first thought when I read the theme passage was those bombable walls in zelda games. Then I thought about how I could turn that in the main mechanic of a game. I decided to just create a giant bomb that you've to push trough puzzle levels and the rest of the mechanics I created on the go.

Sensory info
The bomb exploding might be loud, especially when there are chain reactions.

Simple and minimalistic, I liked it. Some levels took me a couple of tries to understand. My favourite was the chain reaction mechanic, great job!

Developer

Glad you liked it! The chain reactions were my favorite thing to add as well.

The game is very simple yet extremely fun. One thing I think can be improved is how new consepts are intoduced,  the dynamite for example, I feel it wasn't intoduced in a way that told the player what it does.

Developer

Yeah I agree. When I add more levels to it I'll add a room before that room explaining that mechanic better.

I see I'm not the only one who thought of that for "extra media".

The game is fun, and the aesthetic is nice. I think I prefer seeing this type of concept on a larger scale than a game jam would allow, just cause the levels only have so much to think about otherwise. Though it's possible I've just played too many tile-mapped grid-based puzzle games.
