What a nice surprise!
The game is minimalist, yet everything is there.

Ambiant sound is perfect and the sounds effects as well.
The diffrent nebula are really good looking.

The only minor thing is that as I don't have a QWERTY keyboard (damn those french and their AZERTY's), it wasn't not easy to play. But I'll retry it later with a gamepad :)

Nice work!

I am going through all submissions to make all developers aware of an important Google form I've made.

I'm joining the IQ folks to help organize smaller events in between the main FQ event in order to help prevent us from getting too many games in main events. Right now, I have a planned structure for these events but I would like to hear from everyone who was in this event in order to tune things better. The survey is a bit long, but it covers as much as I could think of. If you can take the time to do the survey by June 1st, I would immensely appreciate it!

You can find the form here: https://forms.gle/P9LPYwERhJtpZzteA

*UPDATE* Well, I feel stupid. I played with keyboard my first time and had no idea you could move the star around the entire galaxy LOL It wasn't until I played on controller that I understood the game, so I'm changing up the feedback I left a few hours ago...

THE GOOD:

  • The music and sounds were on point. The music was relaxing and fitting for the theme of the game.
  • Love the concept of trying to capture the stardust by not just lining the planet up, but dealing with the rotation around the star, as well.
  • The evolution of your solar system with additional planets is a nice touch.

SUGGESTIONS:

I'm sure this isn't the full game, so this may be in future updates:

  • Star Dust power-ups... for example... maybe blue start dust causes a stronger vacuum that pulls more dust toward you for a small duration? Or maybe the opposite... pushes them away.
  • More progression after you complete a level. It feels, right now, that when you beat a level... it's just a new repeat of the first. Didn't seem more challenging... you just started over. Be nice if we could evolve further, new objects/threats per level, etc. I could see myself playing a few levels and getting bored, so new content/challenges per level would be nice. UNLESS I didn't play long enough and missed it, but I beat three galaxies in a row and the fourth level didn't change.

However, my 2 suggestions are dire. I think you have a great game here! Loved it!

This game is a massive vibe, I love how it feels to move, the sound design, the music, the art, its just amazing it all combines perfectly and elevates the whole game to being more than the sum of its parts.

Master work of an experience, can't find any flaws on it

Great graphics and sound, and the gameplay is fun. One thing I felt was missing was that where was very little feedback of growing/picking things up. It was not very clear for a while what exactly I was supposed to do because there isn't much feedback indicating that moving around and "cleaning" up the area would grow.

Vacuum is a relaxing vibe with simple controls and simple concept. And that's why this game works so well. Straightforward, easy to understand, and calming. I love the explosion when you win the game and then do a rebirth. Absolutely beautiful. Only critique is possibly change color of the comets or add a soft glow so we have a more appropriate alert for danger. When you get bigger, the comets become really hard to see compared to the planets/moons orbiting around. Really fun!
