Took me a while to figure out how the game works. The game page tutorial is not nearly enough. Only reading other people's comments did I figure it out. Having said that, I had a fair bit of fun with this one, but I don't like just how much of it is dependent on RNG. It feels less like I'm really strategizing and more like I'm just rolling the dice and hoping for the best. You have RNG both in what cards are available to you and if the card actually does anything or not, which ends up feeling frustrating. RNG should be used carefully and sparingly. This game kinda beats you over the head with it.
Thanks for letting me play!
Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 5!
So jumping in, I was a little thrown off by the silence on the start screen and then to the wild music when playing. Right off the bat, I would say have some sound here. I know it's only a prototype right now, but it would help make things less jarring.
That said, at first I was utterly confused at what I was doing. As someone who doesn't know Spanish at all, I was just clicking cards and seeing what happens. When someone suggested I read the game page, I had a closer idea but still not quite enough. Luckily, that same someone also knew the purple bar was to get the special card. Once I understood this and knew what I was doing, I found the game to be a LOT more fun. I found myself bouncing between cheering and flailing in rage as the turns went on. The music helps with this too, I think. I do like the concept and I would love to see it expand a bit. That said, I don't think you necessarily need to use the idea of debates for this game. I think it may come off better under a different concept. I hope I'm making sense. XD
Overall a lot of fun, but since it IS in a prototype phase it's hard to give full points. I do hope you'll continue to work on it and expand the idea! <3
Hey, thanks for testing it, I understand everything you said and it is true, I appreciate the understanding that it is a prototype. All the points mentioned above and much more have been thought about working on the game.
It took a bit before I really understood what the cards did. There's not much replay value after completing one debate. I played through a few, but win or lose didn't seem to have any real importance.
Seems like a fun concept though.
Hey thanks a lot for testing the game and for the feedback, I will keep it in mind.
